Our whelping pads are meant to be placed ON TOP of a water proof whelping pad. Our single sided fleece whelping pads, make it softer for mom, warmer and provide better footing for the puppies to navigate their way around the box and back to mom. WE have used these pads for YEARS. Once again, liquids move away from the surface keeping mom and her pups drier and more comfortable. When its time to change the pad, remove it from the whelping box, place another fleece pad down and toss the used pad in the wash and repeat. It’s that easy. Happy mom, happy puppies!!
